Bio: Clive has 18 years experience within the financial sector. He started his career in practice with a leading firm of accountants. He then moved on to work with one of the UK's leading tax consultants. Clive has been involved in the financial services industry in Malaysia for over 10 years. He has an extensive knowledge of the offshore industry having set up his own successful business in Malaysia. Clive joined Advisers Worldwide in February 2007 to help establish the company in Malaysia and throughout the region.

Bio: Jet Zhang joined Man Investments in 2004. He is a Sales Executive for Man Investments (Singapore) Pte Ltd focusing on business development in South East Asia. Prior to joining the Singapore team, Jet was responsible for marketing and client services in Asia for Man Investments Australia.

Jet Zhang graduated from the University of New South Wales with a BCom in Accounting and Actuarial Studies and MCom in Finance. He is a CAIA charter holder.

Presentation Title: Expatriate Protection Products

Bio: Steve Noon has moved to the Far East from his home in the Isle of Man, taking with him more than 13 years' experience of offshore sales management, including in Asia. He is responsible for promoting the broad range of offshore investment, savings and tax planning products offered by Royal London 360°, and building and maintaining relationships with Independent Financial Advisors (IFAs) based in the region.

This is a new role developed by the offshore life company, which is the international division of the Royal London Group. It is designed to meet the needs of what is seen to be a very important market.

Steve moved to this new role from Standard Bank Offshore, where he was Manager of Business Development, Asia with responsibility for maintaining relationships with IFAs based there, marketing, new product development, and developing and opening a new Chinese expatriate banking market.

Prior to his role with Standard Bank, Steve worked as Banking Business Development Manager for Derbyshire Offshore before its takeover by Kaupthing Singer and Friedlander. He was responsible for increasing business with new intermediary and corporate clients, developing and launching variable and fixed interest accounts, an account for self-administered pension funds and a new range of guaranteed equity bonds, and researching/developing new market opportunities.

Steve also has experience of working in the management team of Alliance and Leicester International Ltd (Isle of Man). His professional qualifications include the Chartered Institute of Insurance Financial Planning Certificate.

Bio: Philip Durnford is an Attitude Coach and Social Entrepreneur. His company, Winning Attitude Sdn Bhd seeks to shift Attitudes for better performance and better decision making in education systems and companies. They do this using empirical evidence and self-coaching feedback, which is gathered, analysed and presented by their online Attitude survey tool, TopDec®. Since Phil became a International Coach federation certified coach in 2005 he has been finding ways to bring coaching to the mass market. In 2008 he was a midwife to the internet start-up, YouPlus, Inc., the San Diego-based company which was the first to bring large scale consumer coaching to market in 2008.

Phil, a former British Royal Navy engineering officer, is something of a wanderer, having been an expat since 1996, working as a consultant and coach in Europe, Scandinavia, North America and Malaysia. His first expat posting was to run the programme management office of a large IT implementation project in a Norwegian oil company and it was there he met his wife. They have a daughter. He calls "here, now" home.
